One thing that I personally have struggled with is finding underwear that are sustainable, and especially sustainable underwear that also looks good! Therefor I’m so happy to introduce to you my new collaboration partner Organic Basics.
About Organic Basics
Organic basics makes organic underwear for both women and men. Their number one rule is to design everything to last by investing in quality fabrics and workmanship and designing with simplicity and function in mind. This is exactly my thoughts also on a Lasting Closet.
The fashion industry is dirty – but it can be better. We constantly search for better innovation, we have a visionary use of sustainable materials – and a continued focus on ethical production.
Material – They are both made in 95% organic cotton 5% elastane (The fabric is super soft, I love, love, love the way that they feels on my body).
Using GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) organic cotton means that it’s grown without harmful insecticides and pesticides. It also guarantees that our basics are created in factories that pay living wages, offer perks to employees – and treat them with respect at all times.
Color and design – This color (Rose nude) is really perfect for me to wear under white, you can’t really see the underwear at all, also thinks it’s a super pretty color. The design is simple, minimalistic and classic in a retro way. For me the bra gives a light-medium support and It’s really one of those comfy bras (loves how it feels like I’m not even wearing a bra when I have it on). The wide waistline with the elastic hem on both the bra and the thongs makes them extra comfy with a feeling of more support.
Sizing – I got both in my normal size and they fit so I would say that they are normal to size.
Ethical – Organic Basics only work with trusted and certified factories. These factories promise that they are free of child labor, that they have a safe working space, fair wages and they treat their workers with respect at all times. The triangle bra and the thong 2-pack are both made in Turkey.
Price – Triangle Bra 40€ Thong 2-pack 33€
